Yes, Stephen, saying "Jesus is Lord" is true on ONE level. However, LORD and Lord must remain clearly differentiated.

At Psalm 110:1, Jehovah is represented by name [even if camouflaged as LORD, as in the KJV (1769 standard) and the NIV] whereas Jesus is represented by a title; on the other hand, at John 17:3, Jehovah is represented by a title whereas Jesus is represented by name.

Both at Psalm 110:1 and at John 17:3, the same 2 persons are named, but the unwary may be bewildered if they are not thus informed.

this was the same man at different times in his life yet he changed his name because he completely changed his ideals and goals too.

both were extremely zealous, both thought they were doing gods work, both thought they were working for the greater good.. acts 8:3 (new international version)3but saul began to destroy the church.

going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.. soul thought gods work was to destroy the christians but paul.... acts 20: 19i served the lord with great humility and with tears, although i was severely tested by the plots of the jews.

Actually, Stephen, a trio or trinity require 3. Since only 2 are involved, it would have to be a duo or duality, I suggest. And, thank for your support regarding John of the Revelation. Saul would have stoned him, etc. Paul would have gone preaching and teaching with this John, I suggest.

if a paedophile commits a crime against a junior there has to be, according to the watchtower two witnesses for action to be taken.. if one party of a marriage commits adultery, does there have to be the same, (two witnesses) before action is taken?.

This Disturbs Me Most of All

no, it's not the "claw hand"!

what disturbs me most of all is the potter's shards.. any coin collector will tell you that the "imperfect" coins are the most valuable.

any art historian will tell you that the value of a painting is it's originality and uniqueness and the talent that can only come with time, suffering, and perserverence.. it is the oddities and quirks in one of a kind pieces that make them a delight and a treasure.. so why is it that this potter has no appreciation for uniqueness?

Ok have you ever been asked this question in regards to Isaiah 43:10 ?

here is the quote from the nwt and i also looked it up on numerous other translations and they all used the word before.. .

androb31, as you have correctly discerned, my "suggestion" in Post 415 does NOT stand up under test. Now we're beginning to see what a tough assignment the FDS has. Being imperfect and impaired by Satan's enveloping air, it is certainly a challenge to provide "proper food at the proper time". Alas, it appears that I have to continue to work out my qualifications. My spirit is willing though.

Misunderstandings and progressive analysis are quite expected for any of us who make the journey [from ignorance to folly to hypothesis to filed-testing to truth], a.k.a "truth on the march". It is "truth on the march", the fruit of comprehensive Bible study which allowed the International Bible Students to discern that Isaiah 43:10 has a second, modern fulfillment, and to thus choose to draft and adopt the Convention resolution to adopt the name "Jehovah's [Christian] witnesses". The issue, of course, is that to properly be disciples of Jehovah and Jesus Christ, we must be more than students of Jehovah and Jesus Christ, we must also be witnesses of them. More to the point, the issue of Jehovah's Universal Sovereignty is at the heart of this change. Christ leads the good side of the worship issue, Satan leads the bad side of it. When Jesus rebuked Satan at Matthew 4:4,7,10 it is thus demonstrated that Satan's side also have Jehovah as their Supreme Sovereign, despite the "cognitive dissonance" and "rebellion" which the bad side displays. The suggested "doctrinal controversies and changes" [regarding "generations", "bodies of elders", "heavenly-earthly" destinies for those in the "New System", etc.] show "truth on the march", and show up the spiritual qualities in each of us, whether sound, wholesome, growing, and forgiving; or whether otherwise.

6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Now if "those that call on the name of Jehovah will be saved" then John 14:6 makes no sense i.e. "No one comes to the Father expect through Jehovah"?!

The Bible teaches that Jehovah is the Source of Everlasting Life and that Jesus is the Mediator of the New Covenant by which both the Spiritual Israel [a.k.a. "Israel of God", "little flock"] and their subjects [a.k.a. the "great crowd" of "other sheep"] must "go through". Our prayers are formulated to reflect this truth, praying to "Jehovah", "in the name of Jesus" [a.k.a. "through Jesus"]. Our gaining everlasting life depends on our on-going learning about both Jehovah and Jesus Christ, as a fullsome comprehension of John 17:3,6 and Matthew 4:4,7,10 [and the related OT scriptures] bears out.

Stephen [a.k.a. Chalam] is right in saying that "No one comes to the Father expect through Jehovah" makes no sense.
